Hunkering Down

We had a healthy snowfall this morning. The first few times it's kind of nice. After that I start looking at seed catalogues to bring some Spring into the house.
Basil (see pic below) has the right idea. Find a nice cozy cave and crawl into it when you need a little extra comfort.
As you can see from the other photo, my pal Monk's Hood bloomed just in time.
On the writing front, I've had trouble logging on to NaNoWriMo, so I'm writing offline and doing a cut and paste when they clear their server problems. I can access the main page, but my profile is 'timing out" afterI click on it. I was able to fill it in during one attempt yesterday, so I know the site works, its just VERY popular right now. I'm certain things will clear out as the month progresses.

Basil is one smart cat! All he needs now (photoshop, please) is a cup of hot cocoa and a mystery by Rett MacPherson!

Snow?!!! oh, dear, I'm a bit spoiled here in So. Cal., with a high today in the mid-70's, and partly cloudy, and thinking it was a bit chilly. Urk. B*B, Ysabeau
