I actually DID stuff toward my goal of becoming a published author! I am pretty proud of myself, despite the small size if the steps.

1. I entered the first 1000 words of one of my stories into a small contest.
2. I committed to a critique partner through RWAonline.

3. I sent her the first part of another story and
4. I submitted the first part of that story to the 'critters' secton of RWAonline for feedback.
Of course as soon as I posted it I found two things to change, but that's how it goes. We writers call them 'duh' moments :-}
