The word of the day is YES!!!
Today I had my social security hearing.
5 minutes after I left the room, my attorney came out to tell me the judge had made an immediate decision (not usually the procedure). His answer was yes. I am officially on Social Security Disability.
It has been a long and rocky road, but life will be quite a bit better now.

I am virtually jumping up and down with joy!!!!
Congratulations, I know how hard it is because I went through the same thing. People who truly qualify have problems getting it, but from what I have read there are drug addicts and others who do not qualify who get it with no problem. I am just glad you got it and your fight is over. Enjoy the new apartment.
It's a shame you had to go through all that-- but woo hoo yay!

YES YES YES!!!!
Congratulations! You deserve it!
My own circumstance was somewhat different. I was 56 when the brain injury hit me. I applied at the local Social Security office, and while the officer was sympathetic, he said the disability SSI probably would not be approved, and it would take several months before I would get an answer. Two WEEKS later I had my approval.
I am so glad for you and Eric. This will bring some much needed and deserved relief.
