Blessings Flow

Today I went out in the back yard for the first time since giving away the garden. I like to take my compostables out to put under the tree I call the Mother tree (a huge golden birch) .

Some days I can't, I am too unsteady on my pins, but today I could so She got a treat of Papaya seeds and skins.

On the way back, I saw a miracle. Well, it was a miracle for me.
Before I had accepted the loss of the garden, I transplanted some monkshood (aka wolfsbane, aconite) from its too-shady spot to a sunnier place closer to the house. But when the frost came last week, I thought it was too late for it, and the buds must have frozen.

Today I saw it blooming.

(image is from another year, but it's just as beautiful today)
