I managed to get a photo when he took them off.
This was the first of the pair. I used an extra round of black just before the ribbing commenced on the second.
The Turkish Toe Up technique is one taught by Lynn of Colorjoy.
The heel is a simple Dutch heel done with close stitch and two colors. The stranded design was done ' Off the Cuff" so to speak (yeah, I crack myself up some days.. I'm easy).

what did you have to do to get him to take them off? LOL
they look DIVINE and WARM. And 1000% better than the last sock I tried to knit (that looks much better since I frogged it...)
