The Seeding of a Social Life

A bit more than a week ago I took my chair to the clubhouse/office here at the apartment complex and talked to Tiffany about how to start a weekly craft group. With her encouragement, I made a file of a sign, she posted it for me, and then waited. First I received a lovely email from D., who has not crafted before but wants to make a quilt. I gave her my phone number and when she called, I had such a nice time talking that I invited her to come by Tuesday. We both had a wonderful chat. Then Wednesday (yesterday) was the first craft meeting. D. came, and again we had a lovely chat, and Tiffany stopped by to say she will likely join us in a month when work becomes less busy, she want's to learn to knit :-}.
The clubhouse space is wonderful, with big windows and a fireplace as well as comfy chairs and a kitchenette.
So, two new friends, both living right here. D. is VERY close by, just one building away.
I am also looking forward to meeting D.'s adorable 2-year old daughter and her dog, too :-}
The weather is also (finally) warming up, so I can jaunt about again. For today, I plan to recuperate. Having events two days in a row tuckered me out. But every Wednesday now, I have something fun to do, with nice people.

Wish I was there to join you, I am finding just getting out and about with other crafters for a short time makes me feel wonderful.
