I published two new free patterns on Ravelry today.
First, the knitted Gnarly Hat. It is a stitch pattern I came up with when I was messing around with knits and purls. I liked how the columns curved together, reminding me of tree bark. (this hat was knit and photographed by tester Geek Girl)
The pattern is in PDF form available HERE
Next up, a recipe of sorts so that anyone can create a Tunisian afghan using the yarn they have on hand, based on a Tunisian Simple Stitch square.
The pattern in PDF form is available HERE
HUGE thanks go to all the testers who helped me whip these patterns into shape!

Both are lovely - and so nice they're free!
That is a great guy's hat!
My mom once made a Tunisian afghan that fascinated me in my teens but I've somehow never tried one yet.
