I have finished Don's Facebook hat!
It took a few tries, the first one was too big for Oscar and if it had been smaller did not provide sufficient ear coverage OR a tight enough fabric for a Wool-Aid kid.
So the second attempt, I crocheted tighter, held mohair along with the main yarn (except for the loops) AND added a broad strip that wraps around the back of the head from ear to ear. Sorry about the model in the next photo, I am still a bit under the weather:
