Despite not having the more severe symptoms, something in the take-out we ate Saturday made me sick and it became clear the connection between functionality of my mind and allergies was a strong one, I can't blame all my foggy days on fibro, I guess. On Saturday I was feeling sharp, with it and well until about 30 minutes after we ate when I became achy, foggy and very cranky. On Sunday, the time spent doing the errands on Saturday caused a minor fibro flare which also contributed to the inability to accomplish what I wanted to.
Today, I woke with the typical dark circles under my eyes that mean I ate something my body considers poison, my mind is still foggy but a bit better.
Between that, and needing to count all my points for weightwatchers eating at home 99% of the time is a very good choice.
BTW, I lost more than 5 pounds so far, since starting WW two weeks ago.
Tomorrow morning I will try and write again.
Despite my focus on my health, I am not a hypochondriac. I hate seeing the doctor or going for tests, and except when I am trying to figure out how to make my life better I much prefer to ignore such things. Observation of health has helped me be more realistic in my goals as well as making connections that, moving forward, should increase my quality of life.
So, better to get a little extra tired and cook at home more often is the moral learned this weekend.
On the stove now is a big pot of potato, chicken, onion and spinach soup. (with garlic).
Only 4 points per huge serving, too.
