Great Market Really Close

Less than two miles from our doorstep is a wonderful grocery store. Holiday Market. We heard about this place from a coworker of Oscar's a few weeks ago, and finally had time to go check it out today. Our primary goal was to get some fresh produce and we succeeded in that, but the other departments were fantastic! They had food from all over the world, BUT also emphasized Michigan-made products. They smoke their own seafood, roast (and grind) their own peanuts and bake their own line of artisanal breads (we brought home a loaf of day-old dark lager beer oatmeal bread to have with supper). I know there were lots of things we missed seeing.
The employees there were also very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. With few exceptions the aisles and cornering areas were free of obstructions. It passed all our tests with fairly bright, if not glowing colors.
The only downside is that there are parts of the path between here and there that do not have sidewalks. I am not sure, but I think four miles is getting close to the distance limit in my power chair, too. We will explore alternate routes, and perhaps if we are lucky I can do some of the grocery shopping!

That store sounds FANTASTIC! Enjoy! And if you can do some shopping on your own, so much the better. Just don't run out of juice for your chair.

It's great to have a fantastic market relatively nearby!

Wonderful! And maybe they'll let you charge up a bit with your knitting to keep you from getting bored before heading home.

That photo still makes me want to plant a cherry tree.
