Flamingo Festival at Matthei Botanical Gardens

Matthei Botanical Gardens is having a Flamingo Festival. Set among the vegetable gardens are a number of whimsical creations, all started from the same standard pink lawn flamingo base.
It was an unexpected delight :-}
Enjoy!

Now THAT is totally delightful! I think my favorites were the flamingos painted like a peacock, a loon, and a strawberry! Although. . . I think the dragon might have been the Ultimate Favorite. . .

Thanks for sharing such a fun display! :-)

I like the down coat. It just seems like such a practical thing for a equatorial bird.

I LOVE this! I think I will have to whip up a costume of sorts for a flamingo and covertly dress the next one I spot in my community.

Last year I made a bunch of knitted hats for gnomes and dressed a few that were guarding gardens in my old neighborhood.

Thank you for sharing this visual delight. We can always count on you and your camera!
