I know computer bloggers get lots of free goodies and are paid as well, which is why the FTC is all over this problem. I never heard of a yarnista doing this, although the shop owner told me it's common practice. Not sure if I believe her, though.
I have been writing reviews for computer mags for 25 years, so I know the drill. Generally, if the product is awful, I tell the editor and they send me something else. They usually won't post a negative review unless the product can't be ignored. I remember panning Adobe Illustrator 4 and the president of Adobe didn't speak to me for years. Oh well. Too bad. It was a clunker.
This is gorgeous! How did you do it? I'm trying to find it in my RD Sourcebook and my perpetual calendar. Does it look the same both sides? I have some skeins of stripypinks and blues and would love to see how it goes.
