Somehow that's making me think of the high posts we had along the roads in New Hampshire, that when we moved there, I had to ask the real estate agent what on earth those were for. The response? For snowplows to drive between to know where the road they were plowing was.
I'm not sure why I like this image.... maybe the elegant white and black tree trunks and abundant greenery making such a wonderful contrast to beautiful rust of metal post and the hint of ochre in the leaves below it. Perhaps the suggestion of humankind belonging within nature.... I do like your view of the world.

I did not find that a comforting thought at ALL.
