Spanking new scarf

I finished a new scarf for myself. Lyn gifted me with two skeins of Diakeito because she knows I enjoy long color runs in a yarn. I usually use such things to make some of Lucy Neatby's Triangles, but I've been wanting to do a little more lace. This was knitted on #9 needles in the Old Shale pattern, also known commonly as Feather and Fan. Dead simple, and it makes me eager to try other simple lace patterns. I love the resulting scarf. Lacy enough to look elegantly elaborate, but dense enough to really be warm!
I'm almost done with my first elaborate cable pattern (from Viking Patterns for Knitting by Lavold), and although I made mistakes I love how it turned out too. I'll post on that tomorrow.

That yarn is so yummy! :D

Great job on the scarf. That pattern looks great with those colors.

Divine, as always. Diana the Goddess of Color... sounds like I need to write another story... LOL
If that scarf doesn't keep you warm, the colors will keep you cheerful! Another photo for my desktop wallpaper....
