Live and Downloadable

Yay! My two patterns; Cloud On Her Shoulders and Elijah, can now be purchased and downloaded directly from Ravelry!

I like the other options, too (Etsy and Patternfish)
But Ravelry is the simplest, and since I will be advertising there when I have more patterns up, it is great to have the details all ironed out
Now to get all the samples knit and photographed for the 3 patterns already written, and the multitude almost written.

Doctor Who Scarf for Amanda

This Doctor Who scarf is not meant to imitate any of the particular reincarnations of the Doctor's wardrobe, but to capture the essence of random color and long scarfiness.

Directions:
Cast on 50 stitches on #10 (6 mm) needles.
Row 1: Work 1x ribbing (k1, p1)
Row 2: repeat row 1 until long enough to suit you

COLOR CHANGES:
These color changes are pretty much random.
I tried to alternate between warm and cool colors, but not always.
I tried to keep the number or rows per strip between 3 and 15, but not always.

You can choose to slip the first or last stitch for a neater edge, if you like.
Your Doctor Who scarf should be as random as your bag of leftover yarn :-}

We had a lovely visit with Amanda and Tommy and their son (our Godson) Sean today.
Oscar and Sean had some bonding time :-} (Amanda took these photos :-}

Choc-o-holic

Even slugs like chocolate.
I am phobic about slugs. Snails are barely acceptable, but slugs... *shudder* .
I know they don't even have teeth.
But give me a grizzly bear and I'd be less afraid.

The Trolls in the Garden

Well, in the conservatory anyway.
With our last name pronounced "troll-doll" those wee trolls have meaning to us. We still have the two trolls that were bride and groom on our wedding cake. :-}
So when I found a few trolls and a troll house at the conservatory, I had to take a few photographs. (Well, Oscar took the photo of Mr. Orange Hair, as the angle would have been out of my reach.)

Alien Bunny

Sean is teething.
I felt like knitting something quick, and found this.
(you may have to sign up to get the free pattern)
Of course I had to give it a twist.
I used Plymouth Fantasy Naturale cotton, and some scraps for the three eyes and pink nose/mouth.

I added an I cord bobble tipped teething thingy for him to chew on. And the ears should feel good to gnaw on when his gums are tender, too.

Fun with Photoshop

Ah, photos.. the gifts that keep on giving. One of my favorite toys on my laptop is Photoshop.

Desert

One of my favorite times was spent out in the Saline Valley in November, many years ago. It's a desert straddling Nevada and California, north of Death Valley.
I was able to bring back a little of that feeling in the desert landscape portion of the conservatory. Here are a few of the photos I took.

Nature-based Kaleidoscope

One of the coolest things in the conservatory was the large brass dish of Cyclamen. Kaleidoscopes were suspended over the blooms. I looked in and spun the prismed mirrors while the flower images burst apart and came together.
